(North Bend, OR) - Exciting progress is underway at Southwest Oregon Regional Airport (OTH) as the much-anticipated parking lot expansion project takes another significant step forward. The two new parking lots, which are being carved into the landscape near the terminal, have now reached a key milestone. The site work has been completed, and crews are now preparing for the installation of curbs and sidewalks before the paving and striping is done. The expansion will provide safer and more accessible pathways for passengers and those who utilize the area for daily walks.

This expansion is part of a larger effort to accommodate the continued growth of OTH, as the airport has experienced a remarkable nearly 25% increase in passenger traffic in the first seven months of the year. As more travelers are choosing OTH for their flights, the addition of these new parking lots will help alleviate congestion and ensure that the airport is prepared to meet increasing demand.

The expansion project is designed not only to provide approximately 100 additional parking spaces but also enhance the overall passenger experience with improved accessibility. These improvements help OTH maintain its reputation as a convenient and user-friendly airport for residents and visitors alike.

As work progresses, passengers can expect continued minimal disruption to current parking and terminal access. This expansion marks another exciting chapter in the airport’s ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and enhance service for its growing customer base. Stay tuned for more updates as the project nears completion, further cementing OTH as a gateway to Oregon’s beautiful South Coast.
