United Airlines has introduced an updated golf bag policy for passengers traveling to and from the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport (OTH). Golfers are encouraged to review the guidelines before arriving at the airport to help ensure a smooth check-in experience. 

Allowed Contents

  • One golf bag with one full set of clubs
  • Golf balls
  • One pair of golf shoes

Baggage Fees

  • Golf bags are accepted as checked baggage
  • No oversize fee applies
  • Standard overweight charges may apply if weight limits are exceeded

Soft-Sided Bag Reminder

  • Soft-sided golf bags require a limited liability waiver
  • United is not responsible for damage to equipment packed in soft-sided cases

Baggage Claim Timing

  • Due to their size, golf bags may take a little longer to arrive at baggage claim

Golfers heading in or out of the South Coast — including those traveling to world-class destinations like Bandon Dunes — are encouraged to pack carefully and allow a little extra time when checking bags.
